John F. Elliott
December 27, 1939 - March 5, 2025

John F. Elliott, age 85, of Brookfield, Wisconsin died on March 5th, 2025. He was born on December 27th, 1939 to proud parents, Phil and Dolores Elliott of West Allis.

John was a graduate of Holy Assumption School, West Allis Central High School and the University of Wisconsin Madison.

Any conversation with John included the pride and joy discussions of his three children: Jennifer (David) Davis, Jake Elliott and Andrew Elliott. With his ever expanding embrace of love it was natural that grandchildren were added to his list of joys. He is survived by grandchildren: Vanessa, Arianna, Andrew Jr., Julia and Karyna.

In 1962 he embarked on a successful career in real estate. He established John Elliott Realty and sixty three-years later it is still located in West Allis. He was especially involved with the Milwaukee and Wisconsin Exchange Clubs for commercial real estate. He was an energetic leader in these organizations as he was during various high school activities and in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at university. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an owner of the West Allis Spartans football team.

John was an enthusiastic golfer, snow skier, water skier, hunter and fisherman during his life. He spoke fondly of summers “up north” at Lake Tomahawk as a youngster with Uncle Jim and enjoyed his own cabin on the lake in Eagle River in later years.

John was preceded in death by his parents as well as by an older brother, Attorney Phil Elliott, Jr.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, brothers Joel and Peter, Cousin Mary Ann Mueller, nieces and nephews, special friend Gail Hahn and a host of friends drawn to John’s affable manner and jovial personality.

A memorial will be held at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home-Wauwatosa on Saturday March 15, 2025, with visitation beginning at 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm to applaud a life lived with fervent anticipation of fun around the next corner.
