Brad (Bubs) Zeisse (70) of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin died peacefully on March 4, 2025. He was able to come home and was surrounded by his girls, beloved wife Laura, and sweet dog, Josie.
Brad filled every room with energy. He loved being surrounded by people—friends, family, and strangers alike. Our fondest memories will be of him telling stories, sharing a meal, and laughing with those that he loved.
Brad was born in Tacoma, Washington on October 10th, 1954 to James and LaVaughn Zeisse.
Six years later, his brother, Stuart, was born. After many moves (Little Rock, Cedarburg, LaCrosse, and more), he graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1972. Brad graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, beginning his 50 years of loving and living in the Milwaukee area.
In 1979, Brad met the love of his life, Laura, on a night out dancing with friends. Their 45th wedding anniversary is in August. Together they had three daughters, Alexandra, Madeline, and Jessica.
Brad is survived by his wife, Laura Zeisse, of Wauwatosa, and their daughters Alexandra Zeisse (John Caseley) of Bristol UK, Jessica Zeisse, Madeline (Shane) Kwaterski, and two grandsons, Arlo and Otis Kwaterski, all of Bend, OR.
He’s further survived by his mother, LaVaughn Zeisse and his brother, Stuart Zeisse, both of Mequon, mother-in-law, Lorraine Rosinsky of Manitowoc, in-laws, Lynn Rosinsky (Thomas Meyering), Thomas (Bette) Rosinsky, niece, nephews, and many other extended family members.
Brad leaves behind many close friends, especially his Memorial Day crew—Stu, Eric, Hirs, Pinky, Shavs, Kregs, Pup, T, Bush, and his best friend Larry—with whom he shared decades of memories and loved like brothers.
Brad is preceded in death by his father, James Zeisse and father-in-law Armin Rosinsky.
In lieu of flowers, hug your kids, dance with your love, and spend time with your friends. Or, play a game of bags—just don’t lose. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kidney Cancer Association in Brad’s name.
The Zeisse family would like to thank the care team at the Center for Advanced Care at Froedtert Hospital, Dr. Deepak Kilari and the team at the Froedtert Life Clinic, Dr. Muhammad Sheikh, all providers and nurses from 7CFAC, especially Noah and Jordan, and the entire team who helped bring Brad home.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-7:00 pm at Birch (6610 W North Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53213) on Thursday March 13, 2025. Memories will be shared in his honor beginning at 4:00 pm.
