Jan went home to be with Jesus, peacefully at age 86.  Beloved mother of Laura Holmes, Linda (Mike) Johannes & John Rude.  Known as Grandma by her Grandkids Joshua (Abby) Delaney, Corey (Katelyn) Holmes, Shauna (Melany) Holmes, Joshua (Cassidy) Wennesheimer Anna (Craig) Snowden, Thea Wennesheimer and Jennifer Leitzke-Rude.   Great grandkids Charlie, Jett, Dominic, Drayk, Kaleb, Xander, Jocelyn, Karleen & Linkin. Sister-In-Law to Bob Rude, Helen Rude, Bill Rude and Carolann Rude, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by her husband Arthur Rude, Son-In-Law Alan Holmes, Brother Russ (Bev) Voss, Sister Elmira (Stanley) Kubusek, Sister Joyce (Ken) Kossow, Brother Gordie (Lila) Voss, Brother-In-Law Charles Edward Rude, Sisters-In-Law Sandy Rude, Maxine Rude, Mary (Chet) Nowak and other relatives.

Jan was born in Milwaukee, the youngest of 5 children.  Family and friends were the cornerstone of her life in Sussex.  She and Art lived in their Sussex home for over 60 years and were a staple in the community. Jan raised 3 kids and was a big part of her grandkid’s lives. Gram was never too old to have fun with them.  She was a great neighbor, homemaker, baker, gardener (known for her beautiful flower beds), a cook in the kitchen at Hamilton High School and school bus driver.  If you lived in the Hamilton School District, she might have driven you or your kids to school. 

Jan was a girl scout leader, band mom and the Red Hatters Queen Mother for a season.  She was loved dearly by all who knew her and were recipients of her care, kindness and giving spirit.  Jan (Mom) will be greatly missed, but we are excited that her faith in Jesus has reunited her with Him, Art and those who have gone before her!

Celebration of Life: Saturday, March 29th, 10:00 -11:15 AM.   Service 11:30 AM, Luncheon to follow.
