Dear Marge and Suzanne, Joe and Families
Jen and I awoke this morning to Rachael’s text that Dick passed yesterday. Unfortunately, I was not aware of his health issues. We pray you and your families will be comforted knowing that Dick was a very strong Christian, loving and caring person. Dick not only loved his family, but everyone. Anyone in need received Dick’s full attention and compassion.
Your mom and dad set wonderful examples for the rest of us. Love abounded. It is my hope and prayer today that your families still enjoy this life of abundant love. Dick’s dedication to his service to his country in the Army, his work, his friends was still secondary to his care and love for his family and his Lord.
Even in the worst of times, Dick was always happy, sharing the love of Christ in his heart with others who needed a friend. Now it is up to the rest of us to continue sharing God’s love for all of us. Trust that God will continue to bless each of you forever.
We will not be able to attend the funeral on Saturday, but you all will be in our thoughts and prayers. We will schedule a trip to Wisconsin later this year. God bless and comfort all of you.
