In Loving Memory of Robert "Bob" James Simon
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bob on March 18th, 2025. Bob was born in Milwaukee July 6, 1942, son of Lester Arthur Simon and Margaret Rose (Goebel) Simon. An unfailingly considerate and honest man, he devoted his life to his family, his faith, and his beloved wife of 61 years, Kathy.
Bob's commitment and integrity were evident in all that he did. For over 50 years, he dedicated himself to Gossen Corporation with remarkable loyalty and unparalleled work ethic. He showed the same commitment to the community as a member of the Mequon-Thiensville Optimist Club, helping his community through fundraising, youth football programming, and running the Fun Before the Fourth parade for 37 years.
Bob lived a life of compassion and selflessness, with unwavering care for his family, friends, and community. He was an amazing father, and awesome Pop-Pop. His legacy of love, kindness, and faith will remain a guiding light for all that knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife Kathy and children Robert (Shellie) Simon, Elizabeth (Rudy) Waller, Rebecca (Patrick) Sommerfield and Joseph (Lisa) Simon. He is also survived by his 9 adoring grandchildren, brother Jerry, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by many loved ones including his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Rest in peace, Bob. Your love and kindness will never be forgotten.
Bob will be honored in a memorial service on Friday, April 11th from 10:00am until time of Memorial Mass at 12:00pm at Lumen Christi Catholic Church 2750 W. Mequon Road, Mequon, WI 53092.
