Elaine Rose Schroeder, (nee Repinski) 84, of Menomonee Falls Wisconsin passed away April 22nd, 2025 with her loved ones by her side. Elaine was born May 15th 1940 in Milwaukee to Edward and Stephanie Repinski and spent her childhood in Fox Point and Whitefish Bay. Elaine attended Divine Savior High School in Milwaukee and went on to attend Barat College in Lake Forest Illinois. In 1962 she married her love, Wayne Schroeder, and settled on Milwaukee’s northwest side where they built a life together until Wayne's passing in 2017.

Elaine worked at Window Fashions making custom window treatments for several years before she moved on to Derco Aerospace where she did clerical work until retirement.

Elaine was a talented seamstress and knitter. She enjoyed crafting clothing for her children and later for her grandchildren. She knit many beautiful baby blankets, scarves, sweaters and shawls that are cherished by her family. Elaine also loved working in her garden with her flowers and watching the birds who came to the feeders in the yard. Elaine had a few feline friends over the years whom she loved. Skittles, Smokey, Trouble and finally Scooter were her loyal companions.

Elaine was a big Packers and Brewers fan and could be found loudly cheering in front of the TV on game days. She loved her 50s music; Elvis, Buddy Holly, and Harry Belafonte were some of her favorites. She loved parties and hosted many family gatherings. Her New Year's Eve fondue was legendary. She loved her family and especially adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she spoiled appropriately. Elaine had a sly sense of humor and a bit of a sarcastic wit and enjoyed a good joke or story.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Wayne and her parents Edward and Stephanie. She leaves behind a family that will miss her greatly. Son Mark (Sarah) Schroeder, daughters Michelle Gnadt, Renae (Tony) Balistreri, grandchildren Daniel (Amy) Gnadt, Stephanie Gnadt, Ryan (Angel) Schroeder, Michael (Morgan) Balistreri, great- grandchildren Philip Gnadt, Wesley Gnadt, Emmett Schroeder, Maren Schroeder, sister Susan Konczal and many extended family and friends.

Visitation for Elaine will be on Monday, April 28th from 3 to 6 pm, service starting 6pm at Schmidt & Bartelt funeral services, N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave, Menomonee Falls 53051. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Elmbrook Humane Society of Brookfield or your local animal sanctuary.
