Paul S. Hansen
March 14, 1945 - May 8, 2025

Paul Stuart Hansen of Mukwonago, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the age of 80 with his devoted wife by his side.

Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan (nee Krueger); daughter Laura (Kevin) Napieralski; sons Kevin (Kerri) and John (Kim) Wise; daughter-in-law Susie Wise; granddaughters Jaime and Kelly Napieralski, Emily, Elizabeth, and Karsen Wise, Victoria (Joe) Reed, Ele and Gabrielle Visconti; grandsons Zachary, Jacob (Shannon), Patrick, Thomas, Ethan, Collin, Aaron, and Ryan Wise, Michael and Andrew Visconti; great-granddaughter Lanie Wise; sister Jill (Frank) Batten; brothers Charles (Chris), Michael, and Mark (Sheryl). Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters- and brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, his hunting and shooting buddies, ETBC congregation, friends, and neighbors.

Paul was the first child born to the late Lyle and Miriam (Holter) Hansen on March 14, 1945, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He grew up in Milwaukee, was on the swimming team and graduated from Custer High School in 1963. Paul then enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country while stationed in Korea and at Ft. Bliss, Texas.  He worked as a vehicle mechanic and earned commendations for Good Conduct, Safe Driving, and Expert Rifle rating.

After returning to Milwaukee Paul began his career at Allis Chalmers and continued to work on the A-C brand through all of the company’s changes, retiring from Siemens on his birthday in 2014 after more than 45 years.

Work aside, Paul found joy in his many interests – he was an accomplished woodworker and gunsmith, avid trap shooter, and enjoyed hunting small game in South Dakota and big game in Africa. These adventures provided some of his greatest stories—and maybe a few “fish-tales”. A car enthusiast from childhood, Paul participated in shows with his classic ’61 Buick. He was an active member of the Triangle Sportsman’s Club and East Troy Bible Church. Above all, Paul treasured his family and friends and his relationship with the Lord.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son Troy Wise, and nephew Scott Hansen.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, at 2PM, followed by a memorial service at 4PM at Schmidt & Bartelt in Mukwonago (930 Main St).
