Robert (Bob) W. Staus, 69 of Colgate, WI passed away on 5/13/2025 surrounded by his loving wife and son. 

Bob was born on 8/10/1955 to Edgar and Bernice Staus. He attended Arrowhead High School and graduated in 1973. After graduating from high school he went to work on the family farm with his father. Together they ran a small dairy farm which Bob took over from his father eventually. He continued to run the farm along with his wife and three children until 2001 when he sold the cattle and took a job at a concrete business. He worked there for 4 years and then he retired.

 In 1977 he met his future wife (Renelle) who he later married in 1978. Bob and Renelle went on to have 3 children, Sarah (Steve) Schellin, Andrea (Mike) Sergio, and Adam Staus. He is survived by 9 grandchildren: Braydon, Elizabeth (Lizzie), Lauren, Ethan, Emma, Audrey, Sophia, Kaia, and Jack. One great grandchild, Oakley.

 Bob loved all of his children and family. He loved to fish, especially ice fishing, with his brother and his nephew Kevin. He loved to visit with neighbors and friends at the Barn hill after work where they would often toast a beer. Miller High Life was his favorite. He also loved spending time at the cottage in Adams-Friendship on Castle Rock Lake where he would often take out the pontoon and cruise with his wife and children.

 Services will be held at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home on 5/24/2025. Visitation starting at 12:00 pm ending at 3:00 pm and a short service to follow. All are invited to share a meal at Maxim’s Restaurant after the service. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to National Future Farmers of America Foundation https://www.ffa.org.
