We spent several spring breaks in the 2000's on Pine Lake taking my Mother Connie north to visit my Grandmother Ruth Jesse. Our kids were amazed that sometimes the lake would still be frozen in early April. Hank would always make it up to the lake to see his cousin Connie. We spent many nights laughing around the campfire with Hank, Buzz and Eunice Radliff, Ruth Jessie my mom Connie and our kids. Hank was a great story teller and always the quickest to laugh at a joke...and what a laugh... These were formative trips for our kids and they remember Hank fondly to this day.
Hank left his usual message to my 90 year old mom about two weeks ago. Like he has every couple weeks for the last several years. She is deaf and can't really talk on the phone but Hank always called and left a message telling her he loved her and would love to talk to her. I will miss hearing his voice and the comfort it brought to his cousin Connie. He will be missed by his Georgia family as well.
