With deep sadness we announce the death of Tracy Plimpton Lux on June 1, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Helen (Swenson) Plimpton and her daughter Laurey Ford (Jay).
She is survived by her sister Karen Wenman (Dave) and children, Lawrence and Brad (Mary).
Tracy is further survived by six cherished grandchildren, Bryan (Leah), Caitlin Moreno (Miguel), Sam (Heather), Kevin (Andrea), Delaney Dehnke (Mike) and Derek.
She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: River, Evelyn, William, Jacob, Maxwell, Emerson and Charlotte.
Fondly known as Ma Mère to her beloved family, Tracy was a graduate of Whitefish Bay High School and Stevens College. She traveled the world and lived in seven states before settling in Sarasota FL. Tracy relished many family vacations on Siesta Key and firmly believed ‘winters are optional’. An astute entrepreneur, Tracy owned several businesses including a floral shop and marketing firm specializing in retirement communities. She was also a talented artist, creating many beautiful paintings of her favorite places in the world. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 10121 W. North Avenue, Wauwatosa on Friday, June 20th, from 3:00pm – 4:00pm where a memorial service to celebrate Tracy’s life will begin promptly at 4:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society, or the donor’s charity of choice in care of the funeral home.
