Everyone should be blessed with an Uncle John!
So many of my favorite childhood memories are connected to ‘the farm’ and ‘the lake,’ and Uncle John is a large part of why those experiences were so wonderful!
At the farm, we cousins ran free and had great adventures. Dogs and cats and horses were all a part of the animals Uncle John loved and cared for. And he was always willing to hook up the pony cart or saddle up a horse for us to ride when we’d visit. When the family gathered at Silver Lake, Uncle John would graciously take us out in the boat and/or pull us on water skis.
A kind and gentle soul, I never once heard Uncle John raise his voice, and his love for dogs and horses may have even surpassed my own!
I am thanking the Lord for having given me such a dear uncle and a beautiful childhood! May Uncle John rest in eternal peace.
