Candice "Candy" Kelley
December 29, 1961 - June 21, 2025

Candice "Candy" Anne Kelley passed away peacefully, in her favorite spot, in the early morning hours of June 21st.

Candy was born December 29th, 1961 in Charles City, IA. Her family moved to Wisconsin in 1973 where she lived out the rest of her life.  She earned her bachelor's degree in business management from Alverno College in 1992 and double minored in psychology and social science, while simultaneously earning an associates degree in paralegal studies from the American Insitute for Paralegal Studies. Candy spent most her life working as a business analyst. In her later years she was a cook at Angel's Grace Hospice, a position she found very rewarding.

Candy was a proud descendant of Scotland’s Clan Anderson and embraced their motto, 'Stand Sure.' She cherished her heritage deeply, and accredited much of her strength and resilience to her Scottish roots.

As a proud pagan, Candy, also known as “Lady Alba Crone” had a profound belief in the presence and power of magic.  She held such a special place in her heart for her goddess sisters and pagan family.

She was immensely proud of her children.  Raising three successful kids on her own was one of her greatest accomplishments. Candy had a remarkable ability to create something from nothing and was an exceptional listener. This made her an "ear to bend" when someone needed it and the "pseudo" mom to anyone who needed her.

Candy was unapologetically herself.  She lived life on her terms, and we were just along for the wild ride.  Candy loved music and would often be able to find a song for any event or emotion she was feeling. She was a talented artist and passed many of her artistic traits and talents on to her children.  Her favorite way to "just breathe" was to watch movies,  particularly horror and cult classics. Her honesty,  laughter,  and presence in this world will leave a lasting memory that won't soon be forgotten.  She will be truly missed beyond measure.

Candy is survived by her children Amber (Bill), Danielle (Cody), and Lee (Nicole); her grandchildren Huxley and Paxton; siblings Todd (Sandy), Dawn (Kurt), Kurt (Luanne), and Leigh Anna;  her ex-husband and long time life partner Scott, his son David (Casey) and grandchildren Gavin and Alaina; further survived by many many more cherished family,  beloved friends, and individuals she chose as her family.  She is preceded in death by her father Larry Kelley,  her mother Mary Kelley, and her "familiar" Eden.

A celebration of life for Candy will be planned at a future date.

Hail the Traveler

Hail the Traveler!
We commit you back from where you came
— to the arms of your ancestors.
May there be peace where there was anger.
May there be healing where there was hurt.
Go quickly to the place that your old ones called home.
For those who grieve for your passing, let there be healing.
For those who grieve for who you were, let there be healing.
For those who grieve for what you could have been, let there be healing.
Hail the Traveler. We celebrate your journey.
