John Robert Albers
May 14, 1945 - August 2, 2025
        

The youngest of six children of Eric and Marie (nee Wambgnass) was born May 14, 1945, in Sheboygan, WI. On June 17, 1945, he became a child of God through Holy Baptism at St. Pau'ls Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, WI. In 1953 the family relocated to Milwaukee, WI.

In addition to his faith in Jesus Christ being nurtured in his Christian Home, additional nurturing came through attendance at Cross Lutheran Grade School and Milwaukee Lutheran High School.

John served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1969 where he received his initial Electronics Training.

Following his discharge from the Navy, John attended Milwaukee area Technical College from which he Graduated with Honors after earning an Associates Degree in Industrial Electronics.

Following graduation he worked at McGraw Edison-Kyle Products Division in South Milwaukee until January of 1976.

In April of 1976, he joined the Clinical Engineering Department at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI, retiring as a Senior Biomedical Specialist in April 2014. In 2015, he returned to St. Joe's to serve as a Volunteer in the Hospital Elder Life Program. Due to failing health he ended his volunteer Service in December 2024.

In January of 1977, John joined Sherman Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee where he served in a variety of Lay Leadership positions over 25+ years.

On July 17, 1971 John married Jane Cassidy. God blessed their marriage with 3 Sons, John Jr. (Jennifer) of Reedsburg, WI, Aaron (Linda) of West Palm Beach, FL, and Nicholas (Jessica) of San Antonio, TX and six grandchildren.

At 01:05 AM on August 2, 2025, John was called to be eternally with his Lord and Savior.

Visitation for John will be held on Thursday August 14 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls from 5-7 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 15 at Peace Lutheran Church, W240 N6145 Maple Ave., Sussex at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.

John's family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the ICU Staff at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield and the AccentCare Hospice at the Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa for their loving care of John.

The Funeral Home's main entrance on Menomonee Ave. is under construction. It is open for traffic coming westbound from Appleton Ave. but not eastbound. There are two other entrances to the Funeral Home. One is on the east side of Shady Lane and the other is on the southwest side off of Town Hall Rd.
