Anne Colson Meo, 79, of Milwaukee, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1945, in Bluffton, Indiana, to Usher Gordon Colson and Martha Cline Colson.
On December 14, 1974, Anne married the love of her life, John Meo. They shared 44 wonderful years together before his death in 2018.
Anne lived a life full of kindness, service, and unconditional love. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Hawthorn School District in Illinois and was a devoted volunteer with the Falcons Hockey Association for many years. While she cherished the relationships she built through her work and community involvement, her greatest joy was her family.
She will be remembered for her compassion, her generous spirit, and her unwavering dedication to those she loved.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, U. Gordon and Martha; her beloved husband, John; and her sister, Sue Colson Skinner.
She is survived by her children: John Meo (Kathy), Bill Meo (Twila), Kristen Reed, and Nick Meo (Ellen); her special nephew, Scott Skinner (Marilee), and niece, Sara Cole (Eric); and her devoted caretaker and friend, Ina Johnson. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy in being their beloved Nana.
In accordance with Anne’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Falcons Hockey Association to provide scholarships for youth hockey or to a charity of your choice.
Anne leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and grace that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
