(née Fitzl) Found peace surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the age of 73. She is survived by her children Laurie Buss and Mike Buss, her grandchildren Rylee and Owen, and her brother James (Nancy) Fitzl. She is preceded in death by her husband Don. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Mary's grandsons were the center of her universe. She will be deeply missed by her dear friend Bob. Mary loved going on day trips to different parts of Wisconsin, family parties at The Buss Stop, vacation in Mexico with family, gardening, cutting grass, bird watching, dogs, wildlife and sitting on the beach at Lake Michigan. She was known as the Strawberry Slush Queen at The Kiltie.

Mary enjoyed many compliments and conversations about her trademark pink hair dye for breast cancer awareness. She was known for her strength as a fighter having had breast cancer twice previously. 

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of Memorial Service at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 121 S Cross St, Oconomowoc. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Word Today, the family, or an animal rescue group of your choice are appreciated. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink that day.
