Of Lannon, passed peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the age of 64 years. He was born on November 22, 1960, the son of James and Janice Koput. He married his best friend, Cindy Bell, on March 8, 2002. Together, they made their home in Lannon. Russ worked in retail throughout his working years. An avid Packer fan one could often find him cheering on his favorite team. He had a passion for caring for and helping others, especially his family. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Russ will be dearly missed by his wife, Cindy Bell- Koput; son, Joseph Koput; sister, Kathy (Jeff) Kluender; brother, Al (Lori) Koput; and many other relatives and friends. Please see the funeral home website for service times and his complete obituary.

The visitation for Russ will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 4PM to 6PM at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Sussex. Donations to the family are appreciated to help with funeral expenses.
