Darlene Ann Mortier was born May 28, 1943, to Albert and Genevieve Mortier in Escanaba, Michigan. She passed away in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 25, 2025.
Darlene grew up in Gladstone, Michigan, graduated from Holy Name High School and went on earn her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. She began her career as a teacher, later raising her children and then owning several businesses from books, children’s clothing and finally flowers.
On August 14, 1965, Darlene married Terry Domres. Together they had two children: Gregory (Peter Nichols) and Alleyne (Scott Alderton). She is survived by her husband, children, brother Mark Mortier, and was preceded in death by her brother Rex, who passed away as a young boy. Darlene was a proud grandmother to Vincent and Gwendolyn Alderton and will be remembered fondly by her many cousins and lifelong friends.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St Eugene Catholic Church in Fox Point, Wisconsin with visitation from 10 am until the time of Mass at 11 am.
