Beverly was called Home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2025 at the age of 96. She is survived by her children Kim Malkasian and Jean (Christopher) Ecos; her nieces and nephews Mike, Nancy, Carol, Todd, and Bill; and her sister-in-law Lois. Further survived by special loved ones and many friends.
Bev and her brother Berj were the children of Michael and Mary Ohanian, Armenian immigrants. Bev graduated from West Division High School then attended business college in downtown Milwaukee. These business skills came in handy while she worked at Midwest Auto Racing and later when she and Leo were the administrators at Heritage Place (now Ruby Commons) in Brookfield.
Beverly was devoted to her husband Leo for 68 years and to her daughters Kim and Jean. She loved her son-in-law, brother, in-laws, nieces, nephews and their families dearly. Bev was soft-spoken but enjoyed having fun with family and friends. She was very active at St. John the Baptist Armenian Church and was certain to be in the kitchen preparing food for the Folk Fair and later the annual church picnics. Bev finally joined Leo at the YMCA when she turned 80 and loved her Zumba classes.
She entertained, decorated and dressed in a unique style and flair that made everyone very comfortable. You always knew everything (especially the food) would be special if Bev was hosting. She never realized the effect her kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness had on so many people that were in her life.
The family would like to thank the people at Shorehaven, Brighton and Angel’s Grace Hospice for the unconditional care she received.
Mom, you made the most of your time and purpose on this earth. We will miss you dearly but know that we will see you again in Heaven. You understood that leaving this world behind was only the beginning. We are so happy you are now enjoying perfect peace, unspeakable joy and love like no other.
SAFE IN THE ARMS OF JESUS - No better place to be! The future is bright to those who believe.
Kim, Jean & Chris
