It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Ronald Duane (Ron) Tunney, who departed this life on November 3, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on October 2, 1934, in Saginaw, MI, Ron touched the lives of many with his voracious love of life and generous spirit.

A devoted husband and father, Ron is survived by his children, Timothy (Rhonda) Tunney, Dacula, GA; Kimberly (Steven) Given, Oconomowoc, WI; and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Tunney, Mequon, WI. Grandchildren, Emilie (Michael) Seaman, Connor Tunney, Declan (Elizabeth) Tunney, Lauren (Evan) Greuel, Samuel Given, Leah (Carson) Nickel, and Joshua Tunney.  Great-grandchildren, Asher Seaman, Remington Seaman, Wilhelmina Seaman, Audrey Tunney, and Killian Tunney. Siblings, Jacqueline (Michael) Walker, Patrick (Paula) Tunney, and Gregory (Debbie) Tunney, as well as many cherished friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Jo Tunney, his father, Melvin Tunney, and his mother, Stella Tunney.

Ron found joy in connecting with everyone he met – even strangers. A lifelong salesman, he was passionate about his work and about people. His commanding yet comforting presence filled every room and will be deeply missed. Those who loved him take comfort in imagining him arriving in heaven with his signature “shave and a haircut” honk, just as he did when he arrived at his destination on earth.

A memorial service to celebrate Ron's life will be held on November 25, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 140 East Church Street, Merrill, MI 48637. Visitation will start at 10:00 am, with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 am. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life well lived.
