Henry “Hank” Schroeder, 88, of Germantown, WI entered to Eternal Life on November 19th, 2025. Hank was born on June 27th, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Henry and Margaret.

Beloved husband of 59 years to Jackie (nee Ptacek). Loving father of Glenn (A.J.) and Keith (Kelly). Proud grandfather of Jessica (Fiancé Nolan McCarthey), Sami (special friend Connor Laue), Jack and Luke. Dearest brother of Mike Bauer. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Along with his parents, Hank was preceded in death by his brother Richard, brother-in-law Joe Ptacek, and sister-in-law Joyce Bauer.

Hank spent 30 years at Proctor and Gamble before retiring at age 57. He enjoyed visiting Boulder Junction to see his brother and sister-in-law and family. They shared simple moments together, playing cribbage and other card games. His retirement years included spending significant time at their condo in Las Vegas with his wife Jackie. A true Wisconsin sports fan, Hank rarely missed a chance to root on his beloved Packers, Bucks and Brewers.

While going through hospice Hank’s strong faith really shined through. The entire family received excellent support and compassionate care from the staff of Riverview Village Senior Living and Preceptor. They are truly a blessing.

Visitation on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave in Menomonee Falls from 9AM until time of the Funeral Service at 11AM.  Final Resting Place, Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Lutheran Church of the Living Christ (LCLC) in Germantown, WI.

There is currently road construction going on in front of the Funeral Home. You can enter coming westbound on Menomonee Ave. but not eastbound. You can also enter on the west side off of Town Hall Rd. or on the east side off of Shady Lane.
