On August 22, 1942, God gave us Elizabeth Jane, daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Marie (nee Zubarik) Piorkowski. She peacefully entered into Eternal Life on November 22, 2025, at the age of 83 as God wanted her to come back.
She was a devoted (cradle) Catholic, loving wife of the late Jerome, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and volunteer for several faith and social service organizations, graduate of UW-Milwaukee (cum laude), proud descendent of immigrants from Slovakia. Had honor to visit the village of origin (Kopec, Slovakia) and meet distant relatives in 2018. She was employed 10 years full-time and twenty years part-time as a casualty claims insurance adjuster.
Elizabeth deeply loved her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Jerome “Jerry” Harebo for 38 years until his untimely death in November of 2000. Together they welcomed four children. Shari Ann (John) Fehrenbach, Patti Jo (Scott) Stevenson, Erik Jerome (Angela) Harebo and Sarah Elizabeth Harebo.
They had nine grandchildren – Daniel, Andrew (Nolan), Michael and Sean Patrick Fehrenbach, Kathryn (Zak) Kachelek, Margret and Paige Stevenson, Nicholas (Shaunee White) and Zachary Harebo, and five great-grandchildren – Aralyne, Adler, Ayven, Asher and Averlie Harebo.
Sister of Carol Ann (the late Thomas) Rakowski, the late Joseph Charles (Judith) Piorkowski and Richard Eugene (Cynthia) Piorkowski.
After Jerry retired, they moved to rural Melrose (his hometown). She enjoyed the peace, calm and beauty of country living for 12 years.
