Gerald A. Lange

Of East Troy, was called home by his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2025 at the age of 85.  He is the loving and devoted husband of 58 years to Carol Lange (nee Prokopf); loving dad of Mike (Nikki) Lange, Matt (Lara) Lange, and Nikki (Bob) McCarthy; proud grandpa of Maranda (Justin) Schaefer, Mya McCarthy, Makaya McCarthy, Marlies Lange, and Anya Lange.  He is further survived by his siblings Les (Mary) Lange and Pat (Bob) Brandt, several nieces, nephews, and friends.  Gerald was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Dorothy Lange.

Gerald graduated from Rufus King High School in 1958.  He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1958 to 1962 and in Naval Reserves for 2 years.  After the Navy, Gerald worked in the forging and electrical industries for most of his career.  Gerald enjoyed woodworking and tinkering on projects as well as going out to eat and traveling with Carol.  He enjoyed spending time mowing the grass with the straightest lines, but he most loved being a fan at his grandchildren’s events. Gerald had an incredible work ethic (as people half of his age struggled to keep up) and he always supported those who needed it through his positive thinking and good guidance.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the exceptional care and attention given by doctors and staff at both St. Lukes Hospital and Waukesha Memorial Hospital as well as a special thanks to Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Services. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church (S89 W22970 Maple Ave. Big Bend) from 9:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Christ Ev. Lutheran Church.
