David L. Rosenberg
January 29, 1945 - January 10, 2026
        

Found peace on January 10, 2026 at the age of 80 years.  Beloved husband and best friend of Gloria A. (nee Torre) for 39 years.  Dear cousin of Marsha (Robert) Cassidy and Carol Francis (John Burgess).  Further survived by other relatives and dear friends.  Preceded in death by his parents Leon and Florence Rosenberg. 

Visitation on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Funeral Home from 11 AM until the time of Memorial Service at 2 PM.  Burial will take place in the spring at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midwest Environmental Advocates.

David was blessed with many dear friends. Many friends go back as far as 75 years to early childhood. The guys formed a Hunting/Fishing group that does neither, but they remain close to this day.

In addition he is survived by his Godson Michael (Kathlee) Cassidy; Cousins Chuck(Mary) Francis, Gwen (Patrick) McCassidy, Claire Skinner, Josiah Skinner, Heather Cassidy. Gloria's many nieces and nephews. 

David had many interests,but his greatest interest was transportation. Specifically trains, followed by planes, ships, buses, anything moved people. His love of transportation led to a career in the travel business. Ultimately specializing in group incentive travel. 

In May 1994 David and Gloria opened Gourmet Outfitters a high-end cookware store. This business venture was decided on a cross country train trip, of course. The business offered many opportunities for travel to trade shows held all over the country,

In September 1994 David and Gloria along with Bill Kisting, Dian Langenhorst, Jim and Linn Collis founded the Acme Film Society. 31 years of great films and  memories. David was in charge of selecting and showing the cartoon...Always a Loony Tune.
