Went Home to the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Rosemary (nee Zakrzewski) for 60 years. Loving father of Renee (James) Huyett, Brian (Amy) Werra and Rhonda Werra. Dear brother of Carol (Bill) Brotkowski, Kenny (Debbie) Werra, Barb Lambert and Tom (Nancy) Werra. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ed is preceded in death by his siblings Melvin, Emery, Bob, Rita, Jimmy, sister-in-law Patricia (Richard) Polum and brother-in-law John “Jack” Zakrewski.

Ed began his career in Human Resources/Management after graduating from the University of Stevens Point. He worked in the insurance business and many years at Harnischfeger Corporation. 

He also had a great compassion for helping people which encouraged him to pursue becoming an Emergency Medical Technician. He volunteered for the Menomonee Falls and Sussex Fire Department. He also spent his leisure time working at the Kettle Moraine Ambulance Service.

He cherished working in his yard and feeding the wild birds and squirrels.

Ed was a devoted husband and father. His presence in their lives brought so much happiness. The world will be a little less bright without him in it.

A celebration of Ed’s life will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 1PM until 3PM at Rumors Sports Bar & Grill; W232N6368 Waukesha Ave., Sussex, WI 53089.
