Robert W. Glueckstein Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Robert was the beloved husband of Susan Glueckstein, with whom he shared 48 years of love, laughter, and partnership. He was a proud and devoted father to Lori (Matt) DiTrocchio and Kelly (Nick) Kochan, and a cherished grandfather to Kayla, Ethan, and Madelyn Moulton, who brought him immense joy and pride.
A proud Vietnam veteran, Robert served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he dedicated more than 35 years of his career as an electronic technician with the same telephone company in North Prairie, now part of Brightspeed, where his strong work ethic and commitment were deeply valued.
A loving son to the late Hildegarde M. and the late Robert W. Glueckstein Sr., Robert was raised in a close-knit family that instilled in him the values of kindness, hard work, and loyalty. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Betsy (Gary) Breuckman, Jane (John) Klunk, John (Kathleen) Glueckstein, Geoffrey (Carolyn) Glueckstein, and Tess Glueckstein. He was predeceased by his sister, Carol (the late Rick) Wingfield.
Robert’s warmth, humor, and steady spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome and valued, and his presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. His legacy of love, generosity, and devotion will live on through his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on April 12,2026 at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Robert’s name may be made to ProHealth AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc or St. Mary’s Parish in Menomonee Falls.
