Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026 at 94 years of age.  The daughter of the late Bert and Senia (Hahta) Luoma, Phyllis June Luoma was born on March 2, 1932 in Bessemer Michigan.  She graduated in 1950 from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood Michigan.

Phyllis married the love of her life Eugene Lehto in 1955 and together they had three loving children, Eric, Lisa and Roy. 

Phyllis was very proud of her Finnish ancestry and possessed the very Finnish trait of “Sisu” which is roughly translated as extraordinary courage, determination and perseverance.

Phyllis loved baking (pies and cookies were a specialty), cooking for her family, and tending her flower and vegetable gardens.  Evening walks around Fowler Lake with Eugene brought them great joy.  Summer vacations up north at Pine Lake were a yearly treat.  Winter meant ice skating and cross-country skiing.  Phyllis enjoyed reading many mystery novels and doing puzzles. 

Phyllis was proceeded in death by Eugene, her brothers Robert, Charlie and Merlyn and her sisters Vivian and Dorothy.  We would like to thank the kind staff of The View at Pine Ridge for the compassion they gave her during her short stay. 

Surviving are her children Eric (Cynthia), Lisa and Roy, grandchildren Elizabeth (Jameson), Katherine and Stephanie Lynn, great-grandchildren Evie and Ben and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 145 E Lisbon Road, Oconomowoc.
