Passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 91.

Loving Husband of Carol D’Amore for 56 years. Beloved Dad of David D’Amore and Pat (Donna) D’Amore. Proud Grandpa of Austin D’Amore and Cheyanne (Quinn Steinmetz) D’Amore. Brother of Maria “Rea” D’Amore.

Further survived by other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister Nettie, and his parents.

Merc loved Nascar, the Packers, and Miller High Life (not necessarily in that order). He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home – Menomonee Falls (N84W17937 Menomonee Ave, Menomonee Falls WI 53051) from 4pm until time of service at 6pm. Burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association.

(Menomonee Ave is under construction and the funeral home main entrance is open for traffic coming westbound from Appleton Ave. but not east bound. There are two other entrances to the Funeral Home. One is on the east side off of Shady Lane and the other is on the southwest side off of Town Hall Rd.)
