It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Daniel J. Stadler, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Dan left this world on March 29, 2026, at the age of 65, in the comforting presence of his family at his home in Menomonee Falls, WI.
Born on November 24, 1960, in Milwaukee, Dan was the cherished son of Michael Stadler and the late Anne Stadler. Growing up in Wauwatosa, Dan developed a deep appreciation for family and community; values he carried throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his dear mother, Anne, his brother, Michael (Mick) Stadler, mother-in-law Della Van Laanen, and uncle Tom Connole, whose memories he held close to his heart.
Dan shared 35 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Roberta (nee Van Laanen). They wed on August 4, 1990, in Wauwatosa, where they began their journey of love, raising two wonderful children, Jacob (Sarah) Stadler and Karlie (Matthew) Hayes. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and enduring memories. Dan's legacy continues through his children and adored granddaughters, Sutton and Sawyer Stadler, who were the light of his life.
For over 40 years, Dan was a cornerstone of the family business, Ray Stadler Construction, where he contributed not only his expertise but also his unwavering work ethic and integrity. A lover of nature and the great outdoors, Dan found solace and joy at his cherished family cabin on Drummond Island. It was there he embraced his passions for fishing, hunting, pontooning, and UTV adventures, often accompanied by family and friends, sharing stories and laughter that will echo long after his passing.
Dan was known for his loving heart and good sense of humor, always living life to its fullest and making the most of every moment. His warmth and generosity of spirit touched everyone he met. Whether sharing a joke or offering a helping hand, Dan's presence was a gift that enriched the lives of those around him.
In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Dan is survived by his loving sisters, Jean (Bob) Vlasak and Pam (Bill) Perego, and brother-in-law's Jeff (Rosie) Van Laanen and Robert (Kalien) Van Laanen, who stood by him throughout his life, offering support and love. Dan is also survived by sister-in-law Laura Kent (formerly Stadler), cousins Jon (Kelly) Connole and Suzanne (Jimbo) Sayre, and aunt, Sis Connole. He is also remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews and dear friends who will miss him dearly.
The Stadler family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who cared for Dan during his courageous battle with cancer and to those who supported them during his final days. Your kindness and compassion brought comfort and strength to Dan and his loved ones.
Celebrations of Dan's life will be held both in Menomonee Falls and on Drummond Island at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the remarkable man he was.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the memories we shared with Dan and the love he gave so freely. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with the warmth and laughter he bestowed upon us all.
