John F. Abbott passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on April 1, 2026 at the age of 48. He is survived by his parents, John and Rebecca, and his siblings, Tim and Suzanne. John was a devoted Brewers fan, a lover of dogs, and carried a deep fondness for Australia from his time there as a student. John was an alumni of Homestead High School and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he majored in journalism. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Schmidt & Bartelt, 10280 N. Port Washington Road, Mequon on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 3 PM until the time of Memorial Service at 4 PM.
