Scott Donald Slabbekoorn of Wauwatosa Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 17, 2026, at the age of 63.

Scott was born in Grand Rapids, MI on August 21, 1962, to Donald Slabbekoorn and Faye (Pastoor) Slabbekoorn.

Over his 40-year career he rose from mechanical engineer to Senior Director, leading global teams and earning more than 25 patents through his innovation and passion.

Scott enjoyed all things outdoors. He especially loved biking, kayaking, camping, and fishing. He also loved animals and playing the guitar. He was always actively involved in his church and community.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Susan (Klinefelter) Slabbekoorn, his son Neal Slabbekoorn, and his daughter Dana Slabbekoorn. He had 1 granddaughter, Leila Slabbekoorn. He is also survived by his mother, Faye Werkema, and his sister, Lynne (Slabbekoorn) Helder. Scott was preceded in death by his father Donald Slabbekoorn.

There will be a private service at a later date for immediate family.

Scott will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all his family and friends.
