Jennifer Rose Ausloos
April 8, 1969 - May 26, 2026

Jennifer Ausloos passed away on May 26, 2026, at the age of 57 after a long and brave fight against cancer.

Jen was born and raised in Milwaukee, where she formed life-long friendships at every stage of her path.  Jen was passionately devoted to the well-being of her four children, and she was a loving wife to Peter Ausloos.  Jen and Peter built a life together in Mequon, where they lived with their children Drew (18) and Gracie (15), and where they were frequently visited by Jen’s adult children Stewart (33) and Madeline (31), and Jen’s grandchildren Alexa (9) and Warren (1).  Jen also maintained close relationships with her parents John Stocking (87), Mary Stocking (86), siblings Johnny, Christine, Rob, Nick, and Alison, and her many nieces and nephews, who cherished her deeply.

Jen’s door was always open to family, her vast collection of friends, and her children’s friends.  On any given day, her home may have been filled with high-schoolers watching a movie while playing with the family dogs, friends from Mequon catching up on the outdoor deck, and young nieces or nephews working their way through Jen’s extensive and well-curated array of games and toys. Her home was always a place where anyone could find comfort and belonging. She was like a second mother to so many, offering guidance, kindness, and unconditional love. Everyone who knew her became like family, and her legacy of generosity will live on in every life she touched.

Jen was an accomplished athlete throughout her life.  Jen always loved to run, and as a grade schooler in Milwaukee public schools, she learned she could not only keep up with her peers but usually win the races in gym class.  As a 12-year-old, Jen set a 200-meter WI State record for her age group that lasted several years and qualified her for Nationals.  Jen loved physical exercise and her early successes in track gave her the confidence that helped her prevail over the tennis and pickleball learning curves she would later encounter.  After having children, Jen took on both tennis and pickleball with enthusiasm and success. Jen brought joy, laughter and encouragement both on and off the court.  She loved music, friendship and meaningful conversations, and her warm spirit touched everyone around her.

In recent years, even as her own health challenges required immeasurable hours of focus and study, Jen continued to put boundless energy into relationships with her family and friends, and into her own exploration of the world.  Jen committed significant time and energy over the last several years to managing the full-time medical care of her brother Johnny, which has made a remarkable difference to his quality of life.  As both Drew and Gracie embarked upon high school, Jen made sure every detail was considered when it came to their education and active extra-curriculars.  She also travelled extensively -- and more than once flew across the country – to attend various athletic events and performances for her children and nieces and nephews.  Jen prioritized her close friendships through it all, always finding the energy to show her friends she was there for them.  Jen relished the opportunity, sometimes at a moment’s notice, to host her friends and loved ones at her home, whether it be for slumber parties with what seemed like dozens of kids and unlimited popcorn, grand holiday parties that Santa never skipped, or boisterous celebrations of any occasion with friends, always with a welcoming and generous heart. Jen loved adventure and cherished family vacations filled with sunshine and sandy beaches. She also embraced the excitement of international travel, exploring countless countries and cultures alongside Peter.

Jen loved deeply and lived a rich, blessed life.
