Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away in his home surrounded by his family on June 8, 2026. He was a man whose love and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Bud was the devoted husband of the late Shelby Reinhart for 65 years and the proud father of three daughters Connie (Howard) Barnes, Carrie (Joel) Hensel and Christine (Jeff) Martin. He was a loving grandfather to Travis (Amanda), Stephanie (Jon), Matthew (Kumiko), Tennille (Ryan), Alex (Melissa), Kyla (Mike) and Carley. Bud loved to joke with his great grandchildren, Brinley, Mabel, Sawyer, Fiona, Nash, Asher, and Lorelei. He is also survived by his brothers Dick and Gary (Lori), sisters Karen and Kathy (Mark). He is preceded in death by his wife, Shelby, brother Ken and sister-in-law Nancy.
Bud was the kind of person who made life more enjoyable simply by being part of it. He had a gentle, charismatic spirit that naturally drew people to him, and his warmth made everyone feel welcome. He loved sports, both playing and watching. Whether he was on the basketball court, on the golf course, watching football, or cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers, sports were one of his great passions. Bud and Shelby cherished their time as members of North Hills Country Club, where they made wonderful memories and friendships that brought them both tremendous joy.
Above all, he loved making people laugh. He had a gift for finding humor in everyday moments and took great pleasure in seeing others smile. Time spent with him was always filled with laughter, fun, and unforgettable memories. His kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and love for family and friends will leave a lasting legacy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but the joy he brought to others will continue to live on.
