Paul R. Turzinski
March 25, 1941 - June 2, 2026

Paul Turzinski, age 85, set sail on his final voyage into the arms of the Lord on June 2, 2026, with his family lovingly by his side.

As a natural athlete with an adventurous spirit, Paul led a very active lifestyle water skiing on Little Muskego Lake, running, biking, and downhill skiing from Wisconsin to Colorado & Europe with family and dear friends. He was a regular participant in many organized charitable running and biking events across Wisconsin. Paul was an avid tennis player and made lifelong friends playing on area tennis leagues for over 45 years.

Back in the 70’s, Paul and some co-workers were sitting in the breakroom during lunch, most likely playing a game of sheepshead, when the conversation turned to sailboats and “wouldn’t it be nice to own one”. Within months, Paul and his family became part owners of a sailboat on Lake Michigan, even though none of them knew how to sail. Paul took lessons, practiced, and persevered, teaching his family everything he learned along the way. Within a few years, he started racing sailboats becoming a passionate, accomplished, and fiercely competitive racing captain and crewmate for 40+ years.

Paul’s love of sailing, led him to what would become one of his favorite vacation destinations, chartering sailboats with his family and friends, in the pristine blue waters of the British Virgin Islands where after a day of sailing, snorkeling, and exploring, he enjoyed a sunset with a painkiller cocktail in hand.

Adding to his many pastimes, Paul, along with his family, enjoyed listening to music, traveling, camping, attending classic car shows, going to Road America races and driving his treasured Corvette.

As a graduate of UW-Madison in electrical engineering, a profession he held his entire life, Paul was a lifelong and enthusiastic Badger sports fan and was a Badger football season ticket holder for many years. On Wisconsin!

Paul was known for his quiet strength, thoughtful perspective, vast knowledge, and unwavering support for those around him, freely offering advice and sharing his expertise. Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Paul leaves behind his soulmate and beloved wife of 61 years, Eileen; daughters Sheryl (Tony) and Denise (Dan); and cherished grandson, Grayson. He is further survived by other loving relatives, friends, and the group from Square D.

The family would like to thank Aurora Home Hospice for their loving care of Paul.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Boniface Episcopal Church 3906 W Mequon Road, Mequon WI where Paul was a parishioner for almost 59 years. A memorial service and fellowship will follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Mel’s Charities of Cedarburg, WI or Ozaukee County Special Olympics.

Paul may be gone from our sight, but he is forever anchored in our hearts.
