Jean Leone Miller (née Macdonald), 94, passed away peacefully in Brookfield, WI, on July 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Known for her kind heart, independence and quick wit, Jean embraced life wholeheartedly. She lived her life with grace, humility and unwavering optimism, always guided by her Catholic faith and devotion to her family.

Born on December 6, 1931, in Rhinelander, WI, Jean was the daughter of Charles A. and Leona Macdonald and sister to Dorothy, Mary, Margaret and Richard. She moved to Milwaukee to attend Mount Mary College where she received her degree in Education and met the love of her life and late husband, James K. Miller, Sr. They made their home and raised their family in Brown Deer, WI, where Jean worked in an administrative role for the city.

She was the beloved mother of James K., Jr., Robert (Lorraine), Tracy (Dan) Mitchell, Mary Beth (Robert) Pagura, and the dear former mother-in-law of Patty Miller. Jean also warmly welcomed James K., Jr.'s partner, Laura Rardeen, as part of the family. She deeply loved her nine grandchildren: Jessica, Brianne, Hugh, Paige, Kara, Emily, Becky, Kelley and Joseph; and her twelve great-grandchildren: Avery, Emery, Declan, Kailea, Braelyn, Bridget, Jack, Eleanor, Calvin, Alessandro, Lorenzo and Andrew.

Jean had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, creating a home filled with warmth and laughter. An exceptional hostess, she found joy in bringing people together around her table to share meals, celebrate life's moments and create lasting memories. Jean's kindness and keen sense of humor helped cultivate lifelong friendships and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know and love her.
