Mildred M. “Sandi” Libecki, 82, of Sussex, WI, passed away on July 15, 2026, and is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Daniel, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of marriage. She was born in Milwaukee on February 2, 1944, the daughter of Adoph and Mildred Weyer. Sandi married her best friend, Daniel Libecki, on November 6, 1965. Planting their roots in Sussex, Sandi and Daniel together raised two children and started their own businesses in the community. Sandi worked for many years as a secretary and was the owner operator of Sandi Materials. She took great care in providing for her family and her home. As an avid gardener, you could often find her tending to her flowers or harvesting her vegetables. Sharing homemade canned goods with her family and friends brought her great joy. Listening to the tunes of Marty Robbins and Conway Twitty while knitting and doing her cross stitch were her favorite hobbies to pass time.
Sandi’s deep faith brought her comfort and peace throughout her life, especially over the last year.
Sandi is dearly missed by her son, Mark Libecki; daughter, Amy (Jim) Wickert; sister, Debra (Jim) Stein, brothers, Paul, Tim & Joel Weyer; brother-in-law, Richard Libecki and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; parents; infant brother, Wayne and sister, Karen.
The visitation for Sandi will be held on Wednesday, July 22,2026, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Sussex, from 4PM until the time of the funeral service at 6PM. Private burial will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon.
