Kathleen was a graduate of St. John's Cathedral High School, and attended Wisconsin State Teachers College. Kathleen regaled us with stories about her time as a hosiery and lingerie buyer for Boston Store. After marriage, Kathleen was a longtime resident of Shorewood and Mequon.Known to many as "Nana", she was a fiercely independent dreamer with a heart of gold and the Irish charm, wit and sense of humor to match. Kathleen loved life, family, religion, Irish music, gardening, animals and nature even fishing in Door County last summer. She always stayed topical on current events, sports and politics. Thanks to Steve and Johnnie at WGN for helping her through the endless nights, and to Ron Santo and Pat Hughes for bringing her the sounds of her beloved Cubs. Special thanks for the loving care and friendship of Barbara Boelter, the aid and comfort provided by Dr. Mehran Edalatpour and Wheaton Franciscan Home Hospice staff, Betty Mosgaller, Pam Boyd and Remi Aderbogun. In lieu of flowers, memorials inher name to the Ozaukee County Humane Society, Ozaukee County Interurban Trail (c/o Ozaukee County Historical Society) or the charity ofyour choice would be appreciated.
