Joan truly loved to knit, weave and spin, having belonged to many guilds. She loved to teach her special skills in elementary schools and 4-H clubs, showing her spinning skills during engine shows. Joan entered many different exhibitions at the Waukesha County Fair and the State Fair. She also enjoyed judging other peoples work and demonstrating her work. Joan was full of lots of energy and vitality even during her illness, demonstrating the true gift of giving even while enduring chemo she taught others to knit. Together, Joan and Dale belonged to various car clubs, touring in their 1930 Model A, Ford, which brought back childhood memories to Joan, since that was the kind of car she drove. Joan’s true love was spending time with her family and friends at Dale and her cottage on Lake Michigan.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Father Mick Savio, AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc and the staff of Waukesha Pro-Health Oncology Dept. for the loving care and concern shown to Joan and her family.
