I had the opportunity to serve briefly with Phyl on 2 church teams at Northbrook. We did not know each other well, however, I looked forward to seeing her smiling face and loving manner at numerous women's ministry functions over the past 13 years. May the Lord richly bless your family in this with peace, comfort and beautiful memories. My deepest condolences to you all.

Karen, Tim, Patti. I just want you to know I am praying for you during this time of loss. I know the Lord will strengthen you through this time and through the months and years ahead. Please know I have always thought of your Mom as being a true servant of Christ and she always had a way of making her home feel like yours. I remember coming "home" from Eau Claire with Karen and meeting Phyl for the first time. She hugged me! I was not used to that and found it a bit awkward. HOWEVER...Phyl was not someone who would let me get away from further hugs (neither was your dad for that matter). She hugged me tightly everytime I saw her. I remember feeling very loved with each and every hug I received from her. Her hugs and smile always made me feel as if I had another home with the Osterbergs. It was not too long after that visit (well...maybe 2 years) that I finally understood from where all her Love came. I am sorry I was not able to be present for her celebration of her life with you, but I know the Lord is rejoicing upon her arrival into His everlasting home. The greatest comfort is to know that someday we will all see her again. Love to all of you during this time. Jen.

To Al, and all of Phyl's family, We are stunned by the news of Phyl's passing. She was a vital, generous woman embodying grace, warmth and kindness. We know that she loved her God and her family deeply, and found joy and beauty in all of creation. Our deepest sympathies on your profound loss. Warmly, your neighbors, Nancy and Noel Adams

Bobbie and I were shocked to hear the news about Phyllis's "graduation". She was a wonderful and godly woman whom we loved and admired. We join with other family and friends from around the world who will miss this dear woman. She loved Jesus and she loved others. Though now she is happy and rejoicing in the presence of her King, we who are left behind must deal with a profound sense of loss. Bobbie and I would try to attend the visitation, but we are in Thailand right now. Please know that our prayers are with all of you. Love, Bob and Bobbie Clinton
