Passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at age 80. A resident of The Historic Third Ward and formerly of Wauwatosa, he is survived by his wife of 52 years Karyn (nee Harker), three children: Judith (Mark) McCormack, Jennifer (Michael) Kern and Ric (Lisa) Elert; seven grandchildren: Amanda, Julia, Joe and Molly Elert; Grace, Caroline and Andrew Kern; brother Gordon (Barbara) and sister Carol (Jack) Hanson. Predeceased by brothers: Harry (Emily), Richard (Jeanette) and sister Ruth (Norman) Aas.

Ken was a former owner of the Otto L. Kuehn Co. He was active in civic affairs as President of Wisconsin Food Brokers Assn, Wauwatosa Rotary Club and The Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce. He was honored as Wauwatosa Distinguished Citizen of the Year 1999.

Ken was an avid poetic humorist and a voracious cruciverbalist who enjoyed reading and was known for his quick wit.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home from 10:30AM to time of memorial service at 12:45PM on Friday, September 7, 2012.
