Andrew Jackson Maxfield, Jr.
June 1, 1926 - October 18, 2012
        

A long time resident and active community member of Mukwonago, Entered into Eternal Life at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at the age of 86 years. Andy was born in Milwaukee on June 1, 1926, the beloved son of Andrew J., Sr. and Elizabeth Maxfield. He was the devoted and cherished husband of Frances J. (nee Muzich) Maxfield. The loving father of Christine (Daniel) Ponder and Andrew J. (Anne) Maxfield,  III.  Treasured step-father of David A. Jones, Debra A. (James) Adamus, Valerie C. (Paul) Gullicksen and Misty R. (Stephanie Knuteson) Jaeschke. The proud and adored grandfather of Erica Bailey, Drew and Paige Maxfield, Amy Barth, Sheri Jones, Aaron Hamm, Alyssa Adamus, Eric and Kyle Gullicksen and Jordan and Ashley Jaeschke. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Carol and his brothers, Kenneth and Fred Maxfield. He is further survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the FUNERAL HOME on Monday, October 22, from 4 PM until the time of American Legion Services at 6:30 PM, with Prayer Services beginning at 7 PM. A second visitation will be held on Tuesday at ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 830 County Road NN, East in Mukwonago from 9 AM until 9:45 AM with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Memorials in Andy's name may be directed to his family to be dispersed to his favoirte charities.

Andy proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Post #375, the VFW Post #7221, in Mukwonago and St. James Parish. Andy worked for the Heil Corporation as a steel worker for many years, retiring in 1995.
