Esther was born March 17, 1924 in Marathon, WI. She was a 1942 graduate of Aquinas High School in La Crosse, WI. She was married May 25, 1944 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in New London, Connecticut. Esther was a sales person for many years at the Mayfair Gimbels Department Store and from 1988-1994 Esther served as the telephone voice of the St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training ticket facility in St. Petersburg, FL.
She loved watching old movies on television, cheering for golfer Phil Mickelson, making tasty treats, but most of all her greatest joy was sharing time with her family. Esther will be remembered for her radiant smile and joyful laughter, a combination that would light up the darkest of rooms.
The family extends its heartfelt thanks to Virginia Highlands staff in Germantown and to the caregivers of Gentiva Hospice for all their compassionate support.
