Brand, Dorothy W. Of Wauwatosa, reunited with her Lord April 5, 2013, at age 87. Born in Milwaukee, October 17, 1925 to Edward and Edna (Loose) Wachs. Beloved wife of the late Bill for 36 years. Previously married in 1950 to Allen Kopperud. Best Mom of Dave (Mary) Brand, Cindy Kopperud (Tom Watson), Marty (Shari) Brand, Jeff Brand (Dawn Mathison), Larry (Kathy) Kopperud, Casey Brand (Art Hine), and Julie Brand (Carol Van Duser). Loving grandmother of Chris, Mike, David, Tim, John and Brittany Brand; Dan, Kristin and Erik Kopperud; Shawn (Erin) Watson and Shannon (Drew) Hyde. Further survived by six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband Allen. Her combined family was a source of love, joy, inspiration and pride. She was an active member of Immanuel Reformed Church UCC for over 65 years, having served as a Deacon, Elder, Youth Advisor, and Sunday School Teacher and is currently a member of E&R UCC. After retiring as Telephone Sales Manager from L.M. Berry in 1987, she resumed a busy volunteer schedule at church as President of Church Women United for three years and as Secretary of Milwaukee County Chaplaincy Services. Visitation Monday, April 8, from 4:30pm until time of Service at 6:30pm at the Funeral Home with a reception to follow (Please see our website for directions). In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alzheimer's Association of southeastern Wisconsin or Bethel-Bethany Church UCC Milwaukee (elevator fund). Private interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
