(nee Butschke) Of Oconomowoc, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 peacefully at her home at the age of 85.  She is the loving mother of Pamela (Brad Miller) Schroeder of Kelley, Iowa; Ned (Charlette) Schroeder of Sidney, Ohio; and Francine Fredricks of Delray Beach, Florida. Cherished grandmother of Lisa Spaulding, Logan Schroeder, Emily Miller, Byron Miller, Cody Fredricks and Chase Fredricks; dear sister-in-law of Dorothy Brodjeske, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband William (Bud) Schroeder, her parents, sisters and brother.  As a multigenerational life- long resident of Oconomowoc, she will be missed by her family and her many friends.

Joan was a member of Dr. Martin Luther Church and was active in many ministries throughout her life. She had a zeal for life and lived it fully and faithfully.

Friends and family are invited to a Visitation which will be held at Schmidt-Bartelt Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 8 from 4 pm – 6 pm.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Dr. Martin Luther Church on Wednesday, April 9 at 10 am.  The family requests memorials to Dr. Martin Luther Church or Tricia’s Troops.
