Baldwin, Tracy Ann
51, entered into Eternal Life on Monday August 8, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be reunited in heaven with her father, David Baldwin, grandfather, Raymond Schallack and uncle, Jerome Schallack.
Tracy is survived by her mother, Barbara, step-father, Kaspar Peter, brother, Matthew Peter, grandmother, Eleanor Schallack and many cousins and friends.
Tracy was born July 29, 1965 and spent her childhood in Whitefish Bay and Fox Point. She attended Atwater School, St. John’s School for the Deaf and high school in Delavan. During those school years, Tracy was famous for performing the mime works of Marcel Marceau on stage for many enthusiastic audiences.
Tracy lived the last 30 years in Palatine and Romeoville, Illinois and worked at the North Suburban Post Office in Palatine for over 20 years.
Those who knew Tracy can attest to her determination and independence. She loved to take off to new places and meet new people. Tracy was a member of many deaf clubs in the area and in Illinois.
A private family service was held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorials, if so desired, may be made to the Tracy Baldwin Scholarship Fund for graduating deaf high school students in care of Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home.
